Every offer starts with the same question: which iPhone is it? Here is how to answer it precisely.
Model name
Settings → General → About. The Model Name line says exactly what it is: iPhone 16 Pro Max, iPhone 15, iPhone SE (3rd generation) and so on. This is the name we use on our model pages.
Storage
On the same About screen, Capacity shows the total storage: 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB. Storage affects the offer, so note the exact number rather than guessing.
Model number
Tap the Model Number line once and it switches from the part number (starting with M) to the model number (starting with A). The A-number tells us the exact variant, which is useful if the phone will not turn on and you are reading it off the back or the SIM tray.
If the phone will not turn on
Look on the back of the phone near the bottom for tiny text with the model number (older iPhones), or on the SIM tray. Newer iPhones print it inside the SIM tray slot. The original box also lists the model, capacity and serial number on a sticker.
